Center to Host 2018 Symposium

The New York State Center for Clean Water Technology will host its second symposium on May 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology, an event designed to showcase the most recent research as it works to develop more cost-effective water quality protection and restoration technologies. The Center aims to marshal New York’s world class talent and resources to accelerate the pace of innovation in water technology, focusing first on delivering next generation onsite technology to more effectively remove nitrogen and other contaminants from household wastewater and the removal of 1,4-dioxane from drinking water. The agenda includes an overview of the Center, updates on Nitrogen Removing Biofilters, Constructed Wetlands & Permeable Reactive Barriers, Nanocellulose Membrane Technology & Membrane Bioreactors, and the Center's newest focus area – the removal of emerging contaminants from drinking water.
