BS in Biochemistry Suggested Schedules

In addition to the University’s general education, upper-division, and total credits requirements, biochemistry majors will complete all the Biochemistry major courses with a minimum grade of C. The suggested Biochemistry major course sequence depends upon the students background in math and chemistry (as judged by scores on advanced placement (AP) or Stony Brook University (SBU) Math Assessment exams, or transfer credit. Math and Chemistry are the foundation for the Biology, Chemistry, and Physics courses required for the Biochemistry Major.

Students should work with a Biochemistry Advisor or Division of Undergraduate Biology Advisor  to determine a suitable schedule for their background.
