The AI for Business Optimization webinar, June 15th 1-2:30PM will provide expert-led guidance and an open forum for surveying the accelerating AI landscape. This panel discussion, comprised of industry representatives focused on customer experience, workforce development, media, and operations, will focus on:
- How are businesses using AI to increase efficiency, while maintaining a workforce?
- What verification protocols should be implemented for generative language content and data sourcing?
- Which platform can best help my business with sales, marketing, and customer experience?
- Who within my business should be trained in AI?
- Is there a particular use-case in AI that you are utilizing to improve workforce development, training, and retention?
- What are the most imminent opportunities and threats of AI to small, medium, and large businesses?
After the panel, a Q&A session will allow attendees to interact with speakers and major themes and outputs will be consolidated to help create an in-person event later this Summer.
Our 19th International Conference & Expo for emerging technologies for a smarter world (CEWIT2023), will be held for a half day virtually on November 15th, followed by a full day in-person event at CEWIT on November 16, 2023.

Our 18th International Conference & Expo for emerging technologies for a smarter world (CEWIT2022), will be held at the CEWIT building at Stony Brook University on October 3, 2022.
Continuing the tradition since the inception of our conference in 2003, CEWIT2022 will be a premier forum for presentations of cutting-edge research as well as the exchange and transfer of emerging technologies and innovative applications. Stony Brook University's Economic Development is hosting a Technology Commercialization Conference that will showcase potentially commercializable technologies created by Stony Brook University faculty, staff and graduate students. The audience will include: potential investors and investor groups from Long Island and the greater New York metropolitan area; companies that are potential licensees or strategic partners; and individuals with experience or a strong interest in innovation. For those who would like to attend, the event is free, but registration will be required.

A Lab to Marketplace Approach, the two-day hackathon over President’s Day Weekend is designed in conjunction with our core industry partners, sponsors, and member entrepreneurs to select scenarios that will have a direct, real-world application to their product portfolios, providing students the opportunity to work on industry-relevant solutions and encouraging relationships with companies in the STEM fields. A Major League Hacking Event, Major League Hacking (MLH) is the official student hackathon league. MLH is an engaged and passionate maker community, consisting of the next generation of technology leaders and entrepreneurs.

The Incubator Company Showcase will feature over 40 company exhibits and displays at the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT) in Stony Brook University's Research and Development Park. Providing ample time for valuable networking and one-on-one conversations with our scope of biotechnology, energy and information technology companies, the Showcase will furthermore extend its activities to allow for individual company visits, as requested by attendees, to experience companies in their natural habitat.
The event will also commemorate both the graduation and homegrown success of Codagenix, Inc., as the biotechnology company scales up from its operation at the Long Island High Technology Incubator (LIHTI) to a new, more extensive headquarters at Farmingdale State’s Broad Hollow Bioscience Park, creating jobs and economic prosperity for the region.
