From Campus to Community: Explore Volunteer Opportunities*

In this workshop meet the CSLCS, discover how to start exploring service opportunities,
and learn about our upcoming programs and events. The Center for Service Learning
and Community Service (CSLCS) helps students participate in both on and off campus
community service, and partners with hundreds of nonprofit organizations on Long Island,
New York City, and beyond to address a wide variety of causes. Getting involved in
service also builds critical skills, creates access to networking opportunities, and
helps students gain meaningful experiences to add to their resume.

CEAS Involvement Fair*

Take a creative pause to reconnect with yourself through the art of wreath weaving. Using soft materials like yarn, ribbon, and trim, you’ll craft a personal wreath that represents your current mindset, hopes, and grounding intentions. Each color, texture, and knot can carry meaning as we reflect on themes of balance, growth, and identity.
This hands-on session includes light journaling prompts and moments of mindfulness to help you breathe, center, and create something that reflects you. No crafting experience needed—all materials will be provided. Come as you are, ready to weave and reflect.

Spring into Registration Readiness*

This is a pre-registration event designed to help University Scholars "Spring into action" and create/check off items on their "enrollment" to-do list before Spring 2026 enrollment begins. Topics will include: an overview of the University Scholars requirements, how to resolve holds, types of error messages that may occur during registration, and how to schedule a future appointment with an academic advisor.

Join the Gap Year Opportunities Session hosted by the Career Center, exclusively for Honors students, to learn how a gap year can strengthen your applications, build experience, and shape your future path. Career Coaches Heather O’Connor and Kayla Hayman will share insights on healthcare, government, law, and public service pathways, and answer your questions about making the most of your time before grad school.
