Researchers from Stony Brook University, Brookhaven National Laboratory, and Electric Power Research Institute, as well as key partners such experts from other research organizations, utility companies, industry partners, incubators and accelerators, and other government and community organizations, will convene for a full-day workshop to forge new use-inspired research projects on a series of pressing technical challenges related to electric grid resilience. As part of this workshop, we will also explore innovative solutions to workforce development, energy justice and economic impact considerations.
Topics of Breakout Sessions will include: HVDC Interoperability, Renewables & Energy Storage Integration, Cybersecurity, Extreme Weather & Climate Risk, and Workforce Development, Community Benefits, and DEIA.
