The Multidisciplinary Studies (MTD) program allows a student who is interested in more than one field of study to design an individual major by drawing on courses from two or three subject areas.

The MTD major leads to a B.A. degree, and is a program of the College of Arts and Sciences.

If you are interested in the MTD major and are thinking of declaring MTD as your major, you must first have an advsing appointment with  the MTD advisor  to discuss your plans.  

Deadline for Major Declaration Fall 2025   August 29, 2025

MTD advising is scheduled by appointments.  Appointments will be posted on Navigate each week.   We do not have office hours when classes are not in session.

If you receive an email from the Graduation Office that your graduation is in denial status, please contact a general academic advisor.  This email means you are missing some SBC requirements you need to graduate.
