Hi everyone! My name is Maddy, and my Chinese name is 朱笑语. I’m an international student from China, and I’ll be a junior at Stony Brook University this fall. I’m double majoring in Women’s and Gender Studies and Asian and Asian American Studies. I speak Mandarin, and I really enjoy meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds. I also love K-pop, Minions, zombie movies, and cooking. I’m very excited to be part of the GSA team this summer and hope to be friends with you!

Hi! My name is Mahim and I'm a rising junior majoring in Electrical and minoring in Mechanical Engineering. My interests are in combat sports, cooking, working out, and biking. I'm originally from Bangladesh and I speak about 5 languages. I'm always open to learning new things about different cultures around the world. I'm extremely excited to be a GSA this summer and I'm looking forward to meeting you all!

HI!! My name is Veronica, and I'm a Global Asias master's student in the department of Asian and Asian American Studies. I'm from a small town in Upstate New York. My academics focus on intercultural communication, multilingualism, and language learning/instruction. I speak Japanese, and I can understand some Spanish. In my free time, I really enjoy reading, any kind of crafting (but knitting and crochet the most!), and genealogy! I'm really looking forward to helping everyone make lasting memories, meet new friends, and prepare for student life as a GSA this summer. I can't wait to meet you all!
