To request an Internal Program Change (e.g., changing majors - for example, changing from Computer Engineering to Electrical Engineering), students must email both the Graduate Program Director (GPD) and the Graduate Program Coordinator (GPC) for approval. (This is a PDF form on our website already and can be removed).
Additionally, Ph.D. students who are looking to add a Master’s degree (M.S.) along the way must also email the GPC and GPD to receive approval. Please note that if you have already received a Master's degree in the same or a similar discipline as your current Ph.D. program, you will be ineligible to receive an additional M.S. degree from our program at Stony Brook University.
