CIV 440 – Senior Design I
Current Catalog Description
Students will participate in structured engineering projects under supervision. They will be assigned to carry out significant professional responsibilities and whatever additional assignments are determined by their advisors. Assignments will cover in-situ data management and testing, specific limits, engineering judgments and reporting.

Topics Covered
- Project Orientated Capstone to the principles and practices of civil and environmental engineering design.
- Will focus on team projects under the advisement of faculty members or outside industrial partners on relevant topics to civil engineering, e.g. transportation, structures, environmental engineering, wastewater treatment, soils, hydrology, abatement, etc
- Written and oral reports
