James McGarrity - Finance

The College of Business proudly celebrates the remarkable accomplishments of James McGarrity, who graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, specializing in Finance & Accounting.

James’s academic journey was defined by both excellence and initiative. He completed the Business Honors Program and presented his research at URECA, Stony Brook University’s annual celebration of undergraduate research and creative activity — a testament to his intellectual curiosity and commitment to scholarly achievement.

Beyond his coursework, James brought that same dedication to his professional development. As a Career Center Intern, he gained firsthand experience supporting fellow Stony Brook students in navigating their own career paths — a role that speaks as much to his character as it does to his ambition.

James will take the next step in his career as a Financial Analyst at Northwell Health, where his dual expertise in finance and accounting will no doubt make an immediate impact in one of the region’s most prominent healthcare systems.
