Two Assistant Professors Join the BCB Department: Dr. Vish Chandrasekarn and Dr. Julia Rogers
The Biochemistry and Cell Biology Department welcomed two new Assistant Professors this semester - Dr. Vish Chandrasekaran and Dr. Julia Rogers.
Dr. Chandrasekaran's lab studies the structures and mechanisms of protein control around the ribosome. They use a variety of biophysical and biochemical techniques including cryo-electron microscopy. If you want to learn more about their research check out the Chandrasekaran Lab web page here:
Dr. Rogers' lab studies how gene expression is regulated in response to cellular signaling during development and disease. Their lab uses biochemical and molecular cell biology techniques to investigate the Notch signaling pathway. If you want to learn more, check out the Rogers Lab web page here:
