Emma del Carmen Castillo Ramos is a PhD candidate in Art History and Criticism with a Fulbright MinCiencias scholarship. Her theoretical and artistic research examines visual cultures of landscape, memory, and resistance, engaging with rural visual culture of the twentieth century and its relevance to contemporary countercultural and environmental practices. She holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Landscapes, Heritage, Memory, and Conflictualities (DYCLAM+) through an Erasmus Mundus scholarship.
