LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to create a comprehensive portfolio that showcases their skills in the job application or interview process.2. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to create and apply their lesson plans and as part of their experiential learning and coaching requirement.
3. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to analyze the basic responsibilities required in the leadership and management of interscholastic and intercollegiate athletics programs. They will apply their working knowledge of the various issues and trends impacting the administration and coaching of school-based athletics.
4. Upon completion of the degree, students will evaluate and analyze the role of a coach as a member of the athletic health care team, including the development of injury preventive strategies, basic injury assessment and management techniques, analyze human movement through the application of mechanical concepts and the minimization of risk and liability factors.
5. Students will be able to assess the mind, body, and spirit of athletes holistically to enhance their athletic performance.
