Middle School Math Program - 9th Grade

 

Dates: July 20-23, 2026
Registration Deadline: First come, first serve
Fee: $400 (non-refundable) -payment must be made upon submission of registration
Eligibility: For students entering 9th grade in September 2026. 
Time: Monday - Thursday;  9:00am - 1:00pm

The Algebra program is designed for students entering 9th grade.  Over the course of this four day program, the following concepts will be covered: 
 
Day 1: Expressions and Equations
  • Order of Operations
  • Function Notation
  • 2-Step and Multi-Step Equations
 
Day 2: Factoring
  • Greatest Common Factor
  • Difference of Two Squares
  • Solving Trinomials using the Add/Multiply Technique
 
Day 3: Properties of Zero
  • Grouping Method
  • Complete the Square
  • Quadratic Formula
 
Day 4: Regents Level Recap & Preparation
  • Covering all Concepts above
  • Calculator use
  • Background Knowledge Questions
 
These topics are key components to any Algebra curriculum.  Students will exit the program with a deeper understanding of these core concepts, enhancing their advanced mathematical skills,  and continuing their high school careers prepared for what is to come.
