Middle School Math Program - 8th Grade

| Fee: | $400 (non-refundable) -payment must be made upon submission of registration |
| Eligibility: | For students entering 8th grade in September 2026. |
| Time: | Monday - Thursday; 9:00am - 1:00pm |
| Maximum Enrollment: | 24 students |
The Pre-Algebra program is designed for students entering 8th grade. Over the course of this four day program, the following concepts will be covered:
Day 1: Language of Algebra

Day 2: Introduction to Variables

Simplifying Expressions

Rules of Exponents

Proportions
Day 3: Solving Basic Equations

One step to Multi-step Equations

Distribution with Exponents

Inequalities
Day 4: Coordinate Plane Graphing

Graphing a Linear and Quadratic Equations

Calculator use

Pythagorean Theorem
These topics are key components to any Pre-Algebra curriculum. Students will exit
the program with a deeper understanding of these core concepts, and enter secondary
education prepared for what is to come as they begin their high school careers.
