Join the Office for Research and Innovation for the Brook & Beyond Challenge Final Event - a showcase of bold ideas and groundbreaking research shaping the future of technology and discovery at Stony Brook University.

Eight dynamic teams will present their breakthrough innovations to a panel of expert judges, competing for non-dilutive funding and the coveted title of this year’s Brook & Beyond Challenge winners.

The day begins with private finalist presentations, culminating in a public networking reception and awards ceremony that brings together researchers, entrepreneurs, and partners from across Stony Brook’s vibrant innovation ecosystem.

Private Final Judging

11:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Structure: 10 minute pitch • 15 minute Q&A • 5 minute deliberation

  • 11:30 – 12:00 PM      |     Judges arrive, light lunch, and briefing
  • 12:00 – 1:55 PM         |     Team presentations (4 teams)
  • 2:00 – 2:15 PM            |     Break
  • 2:15 – 4:10 PM            |     Team presentations (4 teams)
  • 4:10 – 5:00 PM            |     Judges deliberate
