Nurse Practitioner - Clinical Instructor

Required Qualifications

Current NYS RN Licensure, NYS Certification as a NP, in the specialty area of Family Medicine or Adult NP. MS degree in nursing, must have completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner course of training. Experience in Primary Care and medicare annual visits.

Preferred Qualifications

Five or more years in an outpatient clinical office.

Responsibilities & Requirements

This position serves as a health care professional who, under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician, provides health care to patients. Work as a team member, clearly communicate patient care issues, perform clinical evaluations, transition of care visits, Medicare annual exams, and management of patients. This may involve histories, physical examination, procedures and laboratory testing. Position will also involve teaching and supervision of other members of the healthcare team and trainees (e.g. RN, NP and Med students, RN's).

Special Notes

This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
