Clinical Assistant Professor/Clinical Associate Professor
Required Qualifications
Post-baccalaureate degree (Master's or Doctoral) in Nursing or related field from
an accredited institution. Current NYS Registered Nurse License. Current NYS Licensure
as an Adult-Gerontology (Primary and/or Acute) Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse
Practitioner. Professional specialization in Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner
(Primary or Acute) or Family Nurse Practitioner and clinical nursing and/or related
field. Evidence of professional practice and clinical scholarship in Adult-Gerontology
(Primary and/or Acute) or Family Health. Minimum of three (3) years teaching in an
upper division college of nursing program and/or equivalent professional experience.
Additional Qualifications for Clinical Associate Professor: Minimum of three (3) years
in leadership with evidence of involvement in education, practice, research activities
and/or scholarly activities and health care contributions. Minimum of three (3) years
experience at the rank of Assistant Professor. Evidence of scholarly publications,
presentations and/or research and other scholarly projects.
Preferred Qualifications
The Clinical Assistant Professor/Clinical Associate Professor earned a Doctorate in
Nursing or related field from an accredited institution. Emerging record of clinical
and professional scholarship.
Responsibilities & Requirements
The Clinical Assistant Professor/Clinical Associate Professor will teach graduate
students on-site and distance education modalities. The incumbent will collaborate
with faculty in Nursing and other disciplines to advance School of Nursing Programs,
activities and mission; and participate in faculty governance activities and service
within the School of Nursing and the University.
Special Notes
This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime
provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: 09/01/2018
