Clinical Assistant / Associate / Full Professor

Required Qualifications

MD or equivalent with four years postgraduate training in anesthesiology and board certification or eligibility. Completion of ACGME accredited fellowship in obstetric anesthesia. Sub-Specialty expertise in Obstetric Anesthesia. Licensure/eligibility for licensure in New York State.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates for advanced academic standing would be expected to provide evidence of research and academic activities

Responsibilities & Requirements

The candidate will provide anesthetic care to patients undergoing surgery, other procedures and obstetric cases, and will provide consultation before and after the anesthetic procedure. The candidate will be actively engaged in the instruction and/or supervision of medical students, resident physicians and certified registered nurse anesthetists. An active role in clinical and/or basic research will be strongly encouraged.

Special Notes

This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: 11/1/18. Eligibility for advanced academic standing will be based upon applicants' qualifications and experience. To qualify for a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
