Assistant Professor

Required Qualifications

DDS or DMD (from a CODA-accredited institution).  Completed a CODA - accredited advanced specialty education program in pediatric dentistry.  NY State Dental License or eligible.  ABPD Board certified or ABPD Board eligible.  Conscious sedation certificate or eligible.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in clinical treatment and hospital dentistry.  Didactic and clinical teaching experience.  Dentistry experience in the community.  Management skills.  Research background.

Responsibilities & Requirements

The successful incumbent will be responsible for clinical and didactic instruction of predoctoral and postdoctoral pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. The selected candidate will also be responsible for some administrative duties.

Special Notes

This is a tenure track position.  FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.  Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.  Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible. Eligibility for tenure will be based upon applicants' qualifications and experience.  To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Dental Medicine.
