Lauren holds a BA in English Secondary Education and an MA in English from The College of New Jersey. She primarily explores bio-political conflicts addressed and redressed in contemporary U.S. and Anglophone texts that address relationships between Western taxonomies on humanity and nationalized socioeconomic identities. In studying these texts, she hopes to better understand the production of counter narratives and counter archives that perpetuate the survivance of marginalized communities in the U.S. She is additionally interested in research projects on northeastern U.S. colleges and universities' literary histories and archival practices that seek to address evidence of symbolic violences in the institution's construction and memorialization of its public history.
