Vladimir Samuilov, PhD
Dr. Vladimir Samuilov is a Research Professor at the Department of Materials Science
and Chemical Engineering, Stony Brook University.
Dr. Samuilov received his Ph.D. in Physics from Belarus State University, Minsk. He
did his post-doctoral work at the University of British Columbia, Canada under the
Fellowship of Canada's National Research Council. He also was awarded with one year
Research Fellowship of Ministry of Education of France at CNRS - High Magnetic Field
Laboratory, Toulouse, France.
His research interests span a broad spectrum which includes nano carbon related materials, electron and proton transport in graphene, graphene oxide, carbon nanotubes, quantum phenomena in low dimensional systems, self-assembled soft condensed matter systems, nano-bio-interfaces and sensors, electrochemical energy storage, experimental nonlinear dynamics in solid-state materials and devices, hydrogen production, storage and transportation, etc.
Dr. Samuilov has authored five book chapters and more than 40 peer-reviewed papers in the journals, such as Applied Physics Letters, Journal of Applied Physics, Physical Review Letters, Nanotechnology, Nano Letters, etc.
Dr. Samuilov is a Member of the National Academy of Inventors, Stony Brook University Chapter and he runs a Research Lab of Low-Dimensional Materials for Nano-Sensors and Energy Applications.
