Sohl Lee Received Andy Warhol Foundation Research Grant

Congratulations to Sohl Lee, associate professor in the Department of Art, who received an Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant for her work,"Contemporary Pasifika Art: Decolonial Currents and Communities in the Pacific Ocean," in which she analyzes recent Pasifika artworks that envision the Pacific Ocean as a lived space of migration and kinship—rather than isolation. Centering decolonial currents and more-than-human entanglements, the article theorizes how contemporary art reimagines the ocean as a site of Indigenous resurgence, ecological connectivity, and planetary futurity.
