CEWIT2017 is the premier international forum for presentations of original research results as well as the exchange and transfer of innovative applications of emerging technologies in infrastructure, healthcare, and energy - three of the most critical components of a smarter global environment. Specific topics of interest include but are not limited to, Internet of Things; Cybersecurity; Big Data Analytics and Visualization; Health Technologies and Medical Devices; Smart Energy; Smart Urban Systems; as well as Technological Applications and Tech Entrepreneurship.

Stony Brook University Incubator Showcase, June 8, 2017, CEWIT

The Stony Brook University Incubator Showcase is a  joint effort by the Centers of Excellence, Centers for Advanced Technology, and Business Incubators to showcase our innovative member entrepreneurs — June 8, 2017, 9:00am - 1:00pm. 

The Incubator Showcase will feature over 40 company exhibits and displays at the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT) in Stony Brook University's Research and Development Park, providing ample time for valuable networking and one-on-one conversations with our scope of biotechnology, energy and information technology companies.

CEWIT Symposium: Medical Technologies and Healthcare Innovations, March 28, 2017, CEWIT

Hack@CEWIT: IoT & Microservices, February 17-19, 2017, CEWIT

CEWIT hosts the first on-campus, interdisciplinary student hackathon bringing over 130 regional hackers, $40K in industry sponsorship commitments, and over 25 hands-on tech talks and workshops together for a two-day technical challenge awarding over $5K in prizes to the most innovative, most ambitious, most original, most health-conscious, and most industry-applicable IoT and microservices projects. The two-day hack over President’s Day Weekend is designed in conjunction with our core industry partners, sponsors, and member entrepreneurs to select scenarios that will have a direct, real-world application to their product portfolios. 

CEWIT & Economic Development Symposium: Technology Entrepreneurship, November 2, 2016, CEWIT

Fostering new enterprise development and smarter business models — an integral part of the Office of Vice President for Economic Development's mission and commitment to accelerating the region's startup community. Our circle of noted business mentors, intellectual property professionals, and venture capital experts team up to tackle the challenges of starting, running and funding a new business and help entrepreneurs to navigate the playing field.

Stony Brook University Incubator Company Showcase, June 2, 2016, CEWIT

A joint effort by Stony Brook University's Centers of Excellence, Centers for Advanced Technology, Business Incubators and Development Centers, showcases one of the nation's most comprehensive suite of economic development programs and the technological innovations and entrepreneurial advances of the University's burgeoning community of member companies.

The Incubator Company Showcase will feature over 40 company exhibits and displays at the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT) in Stony Brook University's Research and Development Park. Providing ample time for valuable networking and one-on-one conversations with our scope of biotechnology, energy and information technology companies, the Showcase will furthermore extend its activities to allow for individual company visits, as requested by attendees, to experience companies in their natural habitat.

The event will also commemorate both the graduation and homegrown success of Codagenix, Inc., as the biotechnology company scales up from its operation at the Long Island High Technology Incubator (LIHTI) to a new, more extensive headquarters at Farmingdale State’s Broad Hollow Bioscience Park, creating jobs and economic prosperity for the region. The company's success is a notable representation of what Stony Brook University is accomplishing on a large scale, for its member companies, researchers and entrepreneurs.
