Scott Passeser is the Director of Industrial Outreach for Stony Brook University’s Economic Development programs. He is also creator and host of “Jobline,” a TV program focused on personal development and economic initiatives that has been broadcast weekly on News 12 Long Island since 1989. Before joining Stony Brook, Mr. Passeser held a variety of senior management, sales and marketing positions. He was President of the LIA Re-employment Services, an executive consulting subsidiary of the Long Island Association, where he was selected by the New York State Consortium of Worker Education to run a 12-month program which provided comprehensive re-employment services to over 1000 workers dislocated by 9/11. Mr. Passeser was President of LIjobs.com, Long Island’s premiere online staffing resource. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Millennium Technical Solutions, the IT staffing subsidiary of Integrated Systems Group. Mr. Passeser is the author of “Ninja Secrets of Persuasion”, an unpublished work commissioned by HarperCollins, and has been featured on “Larry King Live.” He served as an adjunct professor at Hofstra University, teaching advanced communication and writing skills as well as interviewing techniques. Mr. Passeser has published extensively on persuasive communication.  His articles have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, National Business Employment Weekly, Long Island Business News, and Newsday. He has been keynote speaker and panel moderator at hundreds of business, academic and civic organization meetings.
