SBU ASCE Hosts and places at the 2024 asce metropolitian symposium

Stony Brook University's Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) hosted and participated in the 2024 ASCE Metropolitan Student Symposium.

Approximately 270 attendees from 13 universities in New Jersey and New York from April 12 - 14 competed in categories: Land Surveying, Construction Institute, Concrete Canoe, Steel Bridge, and 3D Printing.

SBU ASCE participated in five competitions, and took home an array of awards including Overall 1st Place, Land Surveying; Overall 2nd Place, Construction Institute; Overall 3rd Place, Concrete Canoe; and Most Improved, Steel Bridge. Additionally, the SBU chapter received an honorable mention for the New York State Council 2023 ASCE Student Chapter Award in Memory of Otto W. Maatsch.
